Necklace: citrine, amethyst, chrysoprase, topaz

Designed by Gerda Monies as part of An Ensemble of Ten, this necklace is one of the first pieces revealed in a special showing that honours both her enduring creative force and the house she co-founded. It is a celebration not only of Gerda, but of Monies itself – its language, its legacy, and its ongoing evolution.

Large, hand-cut stones of citrine, amethyst, chrysoprase, topaz, flourite and a dense curtain of tiny beads. Clear facets, raw crystal edges and polished surfaces are set side by side, allowing saturated yellow, violet and green tones to move into softer smoked and misted hues.
